Transport in London can appear confusing for those not used to the hussle and bustle of a busy capital city. As a visitor to London you should immediately familiarise yourself with the London Underground system - The Tube. Below are a number of links to help you get around London easily.
Rather than duplicate information here we have provided links to the official London Transport pages where you can pick up PDF documents of timetables and other information.

London Taxis
The safest way to travel by taxi is to telephone 0871 871 8710 as this is the number for the London Black Cabs. These cabs have their fares regulated, all vehicles are regularly checked by the Publi Carriage Office and all drivers have passed the "Knowledge of London" test. By using this telephone number you can rest assured that you will NOT be ripped off.
Please be aware that there are illegal taxi cabs in operation and it is extremely common for these to over charge, only use licensed taxis to ensure your safety and quality of service.
